Projects
The project ideas are described near the bottom of the Main Page. (To get the Main Page, click on the image of the fish at left.) Here are some relevant papers.
- Project 1: Hodgkin & Huxley without a voltage clamp. Here is one of the original Hodgkin-Huxley papers: Click here.
- Project 2: Detecting ionic currents. Here is a recent paper that attempts to do the same thing with another method: Click here. Here is a paper with a model that has many currents: Click here.
- Project 3: The chaotic ghostburster: Here is the original (and recent) ghostbursting paper: Click here.
Lectures & Labs
Homework
- Due Wednesday night, 1/28/09, at midnight: A.1, (A*).
- Due Monday night, 2/2/09, at midnight: The first email I sent to the class concerns the homework. I do not have a complete list of email addresses so if you did not receive the email, see below. The homework will help you prepare for Tuesday's class, so do what you can, but I do not want you to spend more than an hour or two on it, beyond the time you spent in lab. Please contact me if you are having difficulty with the assignment, so I have an idea what the difficult issues are and what I should focus on during Tuesday's class.
